Hoax Point of ViewAlthough not believing in climate change as a problem caused by humans, most republicans see climate change as real that it's happening. But there are some people who think differently. There are some that believe that global warming is a scam to cripple the world economy. Articles such as “Climate Activists Tout Effectiveness Of School Brainwashing, White House Won’t Show Evidence To Back Up ‘Polar Vortex’ Claims” all come from the called “Global Climate Scam” which promotes readers to get “educated on the evidence against global warming.” This view of climate change is mostly given by the few journalists that write the articles against climate change. The most common articles are written by journalist Jeff Davis, Dan McGrath and Elmer Beauregard. One article by Elmer Beauregard “Top Ten Reasons Climate Change is a Hoax” lists 10 reasons why climate change is a hoax, Beauregard lists in the top 4 reasons to show that there is no warming he states ”In 2014 there was record sea ice in Antarctica in fact a global warming expedition got stuck in it. Arctic sea ice has also made a nice comeback in 2014.” He also sees the polar vortex as evidence that in the hottest year there would be record breaking heat waves but fails to mention that during the polar vortex in america , australia had a record breaking heatwave with temperatures reaching 129 fahrenheit,

Politicians ViewClimate change has seen its fair share of controversy, from the republicans and Fox news calling it a myth, to the debate of whether climate change has no real evidence to be supported.
The most seen view of climate change by the people is the view that both Fox news share and most republicans that climate change is not caused by any human activity. Former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin sees climate change as an existing but views it as a problem that is not caused by humans. “I'm not a denier. I don't doubt that climate change exists, but no one has proven that these changes are caused by anything done by human beings via greenhouse gases.” United State Senator Ted Cruz gave his opinion of whether humans are contributing to climate change in an interview with CNN saying that “There’s never been a day in the history of the world in which the climate is not changing. What I think is that the data are not supporting what the advocates are arguing.” in response to the question “Is human activity contributing to climate change?” It seems that both Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz share the idea that climate change is not supported by enough evidence to see the problem as“real”. |
